Managing Packaging from Meal Deliveries

Due to the ever-changing circumstances of COVID19 we will make sure that a food pack is available to all vulnerable adults, children and young people who meet the criteria for free meals.

Please note:

  • The plastic containers used for the meals can be reused at home.
  • Household Waste Recycling Centres are currently closed.  However, if you are able to store the plastic food containers (pots/tubs/trays) or cardboard for recycling, they can be taken to a Household Waste Recycling Centre when they do re-open.  Details will be provided on the following webpage when the centres re-open:

  • If you are not able to store the plastic food containers and cardboard packaging, and if you need to save space in your household wheeled bin (or Council refuse sacks), please flatten cardboard boxes and stack plastic containers before disposing of them in your bin.
