COVID-19 update

We are putting in place short-term temporary arrangements to allow the majority HWRCs to reopen from 1 June 2020.

To ensure social distancing and to manage expected higher volumes of traffic, we are asking the public to assist by following some simple guidance before planning a trip:

  • The sites will only accept household waste contained in refuse bags
  • There will be no recycling facilities available
  • No vans or vehicles with trailers will be permitted
  • New traffic management measures will be in place
