SCOTTISH GOVERNMENT LOCAL AUTHORITY COVID ECONOMIC RECOVERY FUND - COST OF LIVING PAYMENT
The Scottish Government has recently announced an additional 'flexible' funding resource - the Local Authority COVID Economic Recovery (LACER) fund.
It was agreed at the Council's Finance Procurement and Transformation Committee on 29 March 2022 that the funding would be used to support local economic recovery and cost of living impacts on low-income households.
You will be eligible for a one-off £350 Cost of Living Payment if:
- you received a Crisis Grant or Community Care Grant award from the Scottish Welfare Fund between 1 April 2021 and the 31 March 2022
- you were placed in Temporary Homeless Accommodation by D&G Council's Housing Options and Homeless Service at any point between 1 April 2021 and the 31 March 2022
Payments will be issued in one single instalment to the bank accounts of all eligible applicants.
How to apply
Applications to the LACER fund closed on 31st August 2022.
Please note, this payment is not related to the current Cost of Living Crisis package which was recently outlined by the UK Government which is a separate funding exercise.
